How it works

Clear lanes, in the right order.

Brand & IP work only holds up if the lanes are clean. Here is exactly how we work with you — and where the independent trademark referral fits.

Step 1

A confidential conversation

We start by understanding your brand & IP — what you’ve built, who owns it today, where the income flows, and what’s coming (a sale, raise, licence, R&D claim or dispute). No obligation, and nothing leaves the room.

Step 2

Scope & written proposal

We map your situation to the relevant standards and set out exactly what we recommend, what it covers, what it does not, and what it costs — in writing, before anything begins.

Step 3

Engagement or independent referral

In-house work — brand & IP valuation, R&D tax and IP structuring, and licensing and royalty accounting — is delivered by Local Knowledge Pty Ltd under a signed engagement. Trademark clearance, filing and enforcement are arranged by referral to an independent registered trade marks attorney, so the legal work stays with the people qualified to sign it.

Step 4

Delivery & follow-through

You get clear, defensible deliverables — a valuation report, an R&D claim, a licensing and royalty framework or a coordinated referral — and we stay alongside you to act on them. The goal is an outcome that holds up to a buyer, a financier, an auditor or the ATO.

This page is general information only — not personal financial, tax, legal or intellectual-property advice. Any valuation, tax or advisory work is performed under a signed engagement with Local Knowledge Pty Ltd, in accordance with the applicable professional standards. Trademark legal advice is provided by an independent registered trade marks attorney.

Ready when you are.
